RAIN - Senior Thesis
This story is a visual representation of my decision to open up and be more vulnerable with people. After changing schools and losing all of my friends three years in a row, when I started my sophomore year of high school, I made the decision to not make any friends at my new school because I feared I would have to leave the next year and lose all of my friends again. Things did not go as planned and I was forced into a lot of friendships that I am grateful to still have today.
However, the idea of not growing close to anyone out of a fear of being hurt has stuck with me as some of the people closest to me continued to reject and betray me. It became easier to stay in my comfort zone where I know no one can hurt me than to go out and risk unnecessary pain.
Upon reflection, I can see that a lot of the pain I have been through has helped me grow and become the person I am today and is not something to make me miss opportunities out of fear. As I look forward toward a new life after graduation, this story is a reminder to step outside of my comfort zone and move forward again.
This is a run cycle that I did of my dog, Tofu, running through the forrest as a study in frame by frame animation using photoshop.
This is a project I did about global warming that follows an imaginary bird through a post-apocalyptic landscape.

These are a few animated GIFs that I made for Andrews University Enrollment to be sent out as section banners in emails for new and returning students.
